My heart is in love with Isle Madame!  What a cool, relaxed area rich with Acadian history.  Such great landscapes and friendly communities.  Jeff & I knew when we met with Janelle & Trevor that this was a great time to see the island and visit old friends and family.  We spent over a week touring before we settled at The Groundswell.  This is the coolest most happening best kept secret of Isle Madame.  Live music on the weekends and this little bed & breakfast on the beach becomes a lively pub! I would recommend popping in for a bite (food was fantastic, generous portions), or stay a night and see what entertainment they have.  It rained the night before the wedding, hard, I mean downpour with bolts of lightening as far as the eyes could see & hear.  Awe inspiring and when it was over, the sun and heat of the day was there.

Not being familiar with area I spent some time looking up the different locations, and made my way back and forth between the bride and grooms getting ready locations.  A few cocktails and snacks and a whole of excitement.  I just love when the parents join in and pamper themselves with make up and hair.  The day was going smoothly and everyone was in their element. The church was filled with community, friends & family.  Family could not wait to speak to the newlyweds.  They would have to wait as we headed to the backyard of the grooms fathers home which had an amazing dock and inlet off the ocean just begging for us to visit.  The heat was not backing down and a cold drink and some shade was definitely on everyone's mind and we delightfully went on to get some extraordinary photos.  The party was eager to get started and no time to waste, we headed to La Picasse for a huge welcome and feast, following that, a game for charity and dance, dance, dance.  The smiles and wicked dance moves just kept on going throughout the evening.  One of my favorite wedding by far in 2017.
